Today was an anniversary for me. One of my exes. It was actually sort of sweet. We re-created the event by doing exactly what we did when we met, and it was so much fun. He had been stalking me, really, and so had followed me into a restaurant where I was to meet some friends for a late night (really early morning breakfast). The restaurant was crowded, and so I had to wait for a table, which wasn't a problem since my friends hadn't arrived. He followed me in, and sat down next to me, but was afraid to speak to me -- thought a "hottie" (his feelings not mine) like I would NEVER talk to him. Finally, I became so frustrated and bored from waiting so long I struck up a conversation with him. When my friends did arrive and a table became available, ole kindhearted me hated seeing the fellow dine alone, and invited him to eat with us. The rest is history. I didn't learn until THREE YEARS LATER
that he had followed me into that restaurant, hoping to meet me, and had seen me around, but was never able to strike up the courage to speak to me, just follow me. Wow! Fate! I am SO glad that I wasn't so shy. That was on August 22 a number of years ago.
